Last year we were able to go camping the first weekend of March with 70 degree weather here in the Midwest, but with snow and ice in the forecast this week doesn't look like we will be out that early this year

Same here - we had a beauty of a month in April but with all the storms roughly every 4-6 days we are on pace to have snow in the ski area's till' May.

Sorry guys I have to laugh; I was over checking out the size of my slides for slide-toppers and unless I get a few days in the 70's, the trucking company where I have my unit stored has about 4 feet of snow piled in front of all the units...so I'm not going anywhere soon. What was it Punxatawney Phil said about an early spring?

We have been out 6 weeks so far this year and leaving again on Sat. But we do have 50-60 mph winds today and still no rain. Wish you had less moisture and we had more.

We have our first trip coming up march 8. This will be a dewinterize and shakedown kind of weekend at a local campground. We will turn around and go right back out st Patrick's day weekend. We will roast some marshmallows and tip our drinks to all who are snowed in.

Anaro,
And here I was just starting to like you Here we sit waiting for another winter storm, my camper is stored in a trucking facility where they have me plowed in with our 4 foot of snow, and you're talking about the first camping weekend. Oh wait, never mind...after this year I never have to winterize again LOL...so all is good, go out and have a good time this weekend...make sure you have plenty of LP, I know it will get chilly at night...leave the vents open a bit...and get up there and clean that roof

Have a fun time...we have a litle longer to wait...but not as long as our good friends north of the border.

Jim

Taking my first trip this year March 31-April 6. Have to go to some out of town training for work so thought it would be nice to camp nearby at the same time. Hopefully it won't be cold. Will be at Boonesbourough State Park, KY.

Left the snow of Breckenridge about a month ago for the Arizona and California deserts. Great time so far only interrupted by snow here in Tucson last week. WTH? Made me feel like home. Should get close to 70 here today. Tee time at 12:10. Make the turn for home tomorrow.
