Need some help. I have GFCI tripping. I washed the RV and lost power to the back half of the rig. I replaced it with a new one, still tripping. I have made no mods to the electric system, I also pulled off the exterior receptical thinking there may be moisture, did not see one. Anyone else have this problem?
If you did not have this problem before you washed the trailer, I would have to say an outlet or wiring got wet and is tripping the GFCI.
I would check to see what outlets are on the circuit that have no power. Next I would shut off the breaker and check all the outlets by taking them out from the wall one at a time to see if they are wet or have any moisture.
I had this problem with my camper 1 time earlier this summer after I washed it.I had never had it happen before but I had sprayed the vent cover of the refrigerator real good (dang flock of starlings dived bombed the side of my camper) and apparently got water into the camper through there. I actually had a small amount of water on the floor under the refer where it had come through. It kept tripping the GFCI. I went back out about 6 hours later and it was fine.
Thanks for all the help. It seems to have, as we used to say at the telephone company, "Came clear while testing". I beleive I too got some water in the refrig area.
