sounds like the bell underneath the slide is stuck inside the frame. That seems to happen alot lately. If your handy you can go under and adjust it and try to free it up (there maybe some info in the literature that comes with the trailer). I havent ever done it myself but I think a few on the forum here have. They may chime in soon for you.

Oh yes, I've had it happen and fixed it myself. I placed a metal plate on the frame with a hole smaller than the bell and my problem is solved. If you can work with hand tools you would need a cresent wrench and a 18-24 inch pipe wrench to free it. Crawl under the slide and find the gold colored bell against the frame on the slide shaft. On the end of the bell you will see a nut on a threaded shaft. Mark the thread with a pencil and loosen the nut about a half inch. The bell is threaded as well so you can use a pipe wrench to loosen it and it will pull out of the frame. Once free your slide will work. Next problem will be getting stuck when you close it again, so be careful.

Dealer says the bell was stuck, needed adjustment. AND when I called Crossroads, they saidthey would reimburse me even tho it was 1 month over warranty. Still not sure how to fix it if it sticks again but at least I have an idea of where to look.
