5 year warranty

*Five year structural warranty is contingent on performance of yearly inspections by a CrossRoads Certified Dealer and submitting proper
documentation to CrossRoads RV Service Department.

Made the mistake of not getting on the roof and checking all of the sealed areas.

Took the RV in for the annual inspection - $300.00 to get the roof resealed at Camping World. Had to pay it or they would not send in the paper work for the 3rd year inspection.

Why would they not let you do it? Sounds unfair (more like a scam) to me...

The problem is that I waited to late in the season to get on the roof and check the sealing.

Do I believe it needed it - no. They had re-sealed the roof in spots the previous year.

The problem for me is that it the weather has turned colder and there was no way I would be able to get on the roof and re-seal it before I took it in for an inspection. It was snowing the day I picked it up and has not been above freezing since.

Just a word of caution - if you can get up on the roof and check it out before it is taken in for inspection. Especially if you live in the "north". If not - you will be at the mercy of the dealer if you want to maintain the 5 year warranty.

With all the design and construction issues we have had with ours I am trying to maintain the 5 year warranty.

Well, this is one time I understand the dealers position...

He cannot send in an all ok if it's not, and to me, him fixing it is fine with me - long ago I gave up the NEED to fix everything myself

I focus on the things they pay me well to do and pay others do the things they do well
