Zt270-bh partial power

Hi,
This is my 1st post here and I need some of your wisdom. I have a
2006 Zt270-bh that I bought new but has been parked for a couple
years. I have left it plugged into 110v the whole time but recently
I went in and found I had no lights, stereo or ac. I found the battery
was bad so hooked up another via jumper cables. I get lights, fridge on
auto,Stereo and stove lights and fan on DC alone. On 110v I get
Microwave, outlets, fridge on auto and check light lite, stereo display on but will not play or operate. With battery in and 110v all works.
Does this unit require the battery to be connected to complete circuit ?
Figured all would work off shore but never had battery out before.
I checked 110v and get 120v at plug and at cord.
Is it possible convertor is bad ?
Would appreciate any help.
Thanks in advance,
Chris

Check 12V fuses and 120V breakers would be first step. Hard to say with an 8 year old unit.

I reread. Generally everything should work off shore power without a battery installed.

You may be on correct track with bad converter. If you meter battery connections (no battery), you should get voltage hooked up to shore power (trickle charge of battery).

Sadly...only way to know for sure is to install a new converter. If you are comfortable with that, not too bad to buy a converter. Probably expensive if you have a dealer do it.

GFI is okay. So I should have 110v across battery connections with
shore plugged in ?
Thanks,
Chris

The fuse/breaker panel is the converter.

Thanks,
Checked my trailer and found my model its a wf-8955an converter. Have heard about poor ratings for this model and a possible upgrade to a 9800 series. Is anyone familiar with this ? I pulled battery connections and with shore power hooked up I get 6.42 volts. Battery voltage is 12.68 and I get same reading with cables connected. I assume this means that Converter/Charger isn't working, correct ? Not sure if my trailer has a switch or fuse between battery and converter.
Thanks,
Chris
