Well we will be arriving a day early to the spring rally. Probably be putting our tt on the market after the spring rally and then upgrading to a new tt or 5er. Might have the new TV by spring rally though. so I guess our spring projects revolve around prepping it for sale on craigslist.

Thanks Stan. We love the sabre 33RETS 5er but it is $10k more than the Sabre 320rets tt. We will see which one we end up with.... a lot may depend on the price of the TV we end up with as well.

Stan, it could be like an Amish barn raising. Everybody bring a mod for their Rv and we all go from Rv to Rv doing the mod.

Aileen, good luck in your search.

Stan thanks but the Monty is probably a bit rich for my blood and the dually a bit bigger than I want for a daily driver not to mention being a little sour on ford 6.4 right now. Whatcha lookin at upgrading to after something as nice as that Monty?

Aileen, Just looking at another Monty.....don't want anything else....but it may be too rich for my blood to upgrade....looks cheaper to upgrade the truck....oh well...just a thing...we like what we have.....what happened to your truck? So far mine is running fine with only 50k on it....

Mark...your suggestion sounds fun...will bring my tool box and drill....lol

Stan- it still smokes like a chimney, no resolution. It randomly has a sudden brief power loss, can't replicate it, no codes. Tranny is shifting rough, won't do it for the service tech, no codes. Occasionally makes a loud whining noise (similar to what a gas engine sounds like when revving in neutral), can't replicate it, no codes. Replaced the rear axle seal last month. Had a suspected oil leak per dealership (oil found that looked like a leak) ran dye through it for awhile, no leak found. Coming home from Disney the truck started vibrating and losing power going up hills. Never could replicate that one. Too many phantom issues with only 71,000 miles on it. Don't trust it as far as I can throw it. I do love the power when towing and the way the engine helps me brake, it is a comfortable ride but just too many issues. The word lemon comes to mind. I'm sure they are not all this way, it just soured me on it. Looking at chevy and ram 1 ton SRW diesels right now. The tt we are just ready to upgrade and are in love with the sabres.

My F250. 6.0 did the same when towing on a hill once in a while...it was the tranny torque converter.....felt like it stared missing and slowly lost power. On down hill grade did fine....next hill might have been fine...if in combo with a re- gen it was poor....but we never had the smoke issue you have had....but ya never know...my F350 might choke this weekend on our trip....but so far no problems....good luck with one of those off brand vehicles you be looking at....lol

yea the loss of power is sudden and quick almost like something is clogged and then moves. It feels like someone is grabbing the back bumper and pulling me backward. It is seen towing or not towing, regen or not in regen. Smoker is mostly in cold wet weather. Not to mention the low 1500 lb payload and the hitch receiver can only take a 1250 lb tongue weight. We are looking at a TT w/ 11000 lb gvwr and a 5 er w/ 13000 lb gvwr. Heavy trailers. Its looking more and more like we might have a cummins but not completely sure yet.

Your problem is different....the weight of 11k or 13k is not a problem to handle as a 5er....TT. Will be a different story....we are running around 16k. But combo is 23..5k. give or take...the 5er is earlier to tow and back once you learn and get used to it...I would go for the 5er

Just made our reservations and we are in Site 32. The lady said the Millers were in Site 29. I sent Stan an email as she told me there are several groups coming that weekend. Double checking is never a bad idea.
