Gettysburg Battlefield Resorts is very nice, we are members as well. Downtown Gettysburg is great, alot of activities, nice WINE SHOPS (Jennie's House, Reids Winery, just keep an eye out for her ghost, lol), safe trips everyone.

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!!

Anaro,
We will arrive at Gettysburg on the 6th of May and leave the 9th for NY. I will look up the Gettysburg Battlefield Resort and see if we can get in there, sounds like the right place to be. Hope to finally meet you based on your schedule of course.

Thanks,
Jim

Jim- we still haven't decided if we are going to do this trip this year or next year. We have a tough time getting a lot of extended time off at work. In order to do this trip we would need at least a week off, then we want a week off in august and 3 days off in Oct for the Oct rally. I can probably get the time but not sure dh can. Also DD would have to miss school but they do excuse educational trips at her school. Would love to meet you also if schedules can meet up. It's a shame you can't slide into PA a couple days earlier to meet the rest of the mason Dixon crew. They are a good bunch.

Stan -- sorry for the late reply. Our first trip is the Northeast Rally. I still have not stoned a path from the camper to the driveway, and at that time of year the ground is too soft in that area of my property to drag the camper out. Plus have not been able to talk Rosie into starting earlier in the season.

Everyone -- Rosie & I hope you all have a Blessed Christmas and a Happy & Healthy New Year. As Red Skeleton used to say " GOD BLESS "

Anara,
Our problem is that our youngest SIL graduates with his master's degree from Ohio University in Athens, OH on May 3rd and my oldest grandaughter turns 13 the next day so we're planning on camping at Jackson, OH outside of Athens that weekend and heading to Gettysburg on the 6th. I'm not sure when the Mason-Dixon bunch has there outing this year but we are planning on leaving WI in the middle of October and heading down the east coast to visit family in VA, NC, and GA before heading to TX for the month's of DEC to FEB, then we'll do the southwest up through CA, OR, ID, MT, SD and head back towards WI for the summer month's in 2014. The only thing we have yet to figure out is where and what model of 5th wheel we will buy. We like the looks of the Arctic Fox, The Redwood, The Columbia, and the Open Range, so we have some decisions to make.

Merry Christmas to you all,
Jim

So we have been busy planning our camping season. We decided with the big disney trip this year that we are going to take extra time from work for this trip. This means that Ant won't have enough time off from work available to make this trip work for us. Maybe we will try to make this one next year. We are still planning on making the fall rally though.

I have been doing this since 2007 and we have many loyal participants.
Wewish to thank all for the outstanding supportover the years and hope that someone will continue
to schedule the spring rally.
We will help in any way during the weekend with hosting breakfast or whatever.

Walt & Lindy --- I personally would like to say on this forum, for all to see. You and your lovely wife Lindy welcomed myself and my wife Rosie with open arms of friendship to the Northeast CR Rally group. So in recognition of your service to the group, I say.

Thanks Walt --- JOB WELL DONE !!!!!

Walt,

Emmy and I both say THANK YOU!....without your efforts in the beginning years ago we would have not meet and made all the long lasting friendships we have made over the years....you are the "father" of the Northeast Rally group and without you there never would have been a Mason Dixon Bunch here in Virginia....we all owe you a great debt of gratitude for bringing us all together as strangers who in the end have become the best of friends......looking forward to us all sharing many more years together .....see you in May....Edited by: sola123

Walt- I haven't had the proviledge of making one of the spring rallies die to distance and time constraints but I want to thank both you and Stan for all the hard work you guys put into organizing these rallies. I'm too far away to help plan but I hope someone is willing to step up and keep it going.
