My dealer showed me a picture last week of a Cruiser with the new full body paint option. I think they call the model "Sahara" or something like that. It's not for me but looked pretty nice. Just wonder if anybody has seen one yet.

They talked about it at the Texas Rally, see what you missed by staying up there in that white stuff

oh ya, my governor can beat up your governor....oh wait, that was a couple of years ago. We've been to Texas a couple of times for a quick winter trip and we'll probably do it again sometime.

My dealer said the paint on the Cruiser was not the routine stuff...something more durable. Have you heard anything about that?

Yes we seen this at a dealer 4 weeks ago. I haven't heard or seen any more on this. If could see one in real life might look better.

I saw on another forum or somewhere that a fellow restored his older 5th wheel and had a total body paint done by professionals. It was beautiful but I believe the paint job was $10 or $11k . Not really cost effective but if you really like your 5th wheel and have an older unit built before all the frame, axle and other problemsstarted then it may be worth it!!!

Well I can say I do know about the Cruiser Sahara package and I think this is going to be a big hit if they introduce it. As far as what all the package will offer other than the "full body color" I can't answer that but I do know if they offer the one option my wife and I are waiting for we will be ordering a new Cruiser Sahara and staying in the Crossroads family.

Don't confuse "full body paint" and "full body gel coat".

I have body paint on my new purchase, love it. However, just like a car you have to be mindful that scratches, nicks, pits can show up quickly from road travel. Also, they paint the hinges on luggage doors and I'm worried it will wear out in those locations. I already have a few nicks on my motorhome. They do give you a good 4 oz. of touchup but I was hoping to never need it!!!

I think a Cruiser in full body paint would be SWEET!

I'll bet what they mean by full body paint is not a "paint job" but the gel coat is impregnated with the chosen color. That way you wouldn't have to worry about nicks and/or scratches.

Bingo, we have a winner!

You put a $6k to $8k "paint job" on a Cruiser and you then move it up into the price point of a base model Rushmore.
