Okay folks, we are about 2 weeks away from the Texas get together and Whispering Pines is asking me to firm up the trailer count. At this point I think we have 5 that will be attending but there are still sites available for anyone wishing to join us. If anyone would like to come just send me an email and I will be glad to add you to the list. I will hold off giving WP a firm count until Thursday afternoon.

Man, you figure 1 pound per person for a Cajun...let's just say you're gonna have some pretty P****D off CoonA***S!

But since we can't come anyway, that sounds about right...just leaves more in the ponds for me when I get back home!

But Lynn you chickened out, if you were coming we would have to get 50 pounds just for you. These things are high this year. They tell me that La lost over 4000 acres of pounds due to the hurricane and another three thousand do to the drought. How ever you can still come and bring your own

Hah, man I wish we could Frank. You're right, the hurricanes did have a big effect on the crawfish. These cold fronts are just enough to have an effect on them also. But I spoke with a few of the local farmers this past week and it seems that the numbers and size are finally starting to come up. Usually, you'll see the price drop after Easter. ***Might keep that in mind for next year's rally.

We are pulling out at 5am. Looks like we will be in heavy rain and high North winds hitting us head on.

It's cold and damp here at the Texas Rally. Lynda and I followed Keith and Beverly up yesterday and Frank and Janet arrived late yesterday afternoon. Hal and Shari are headed in today. The weather is supposed to clear out today and be warmer tomorrow and Sunday. However, no complaints from the group. We needed the rain desperately. And, good friends and good fellowship always make for a good time.

Yes as we have learned over the last few years, if we have a drought going on in Texas all we have to do is get a group of CR owners together to bust the drought. It still better than being at home or work!

I ain't home, I'm 165 miles out in the Gulf of Mexico, at work and it's raining here too!

Ya'll enjoy, drink a cold one for me and have a safe trip home! Oh, and someone, please eat my 2 crawfish...as I remember, that's about all you're allowed!
