When I had my 30amp fifth wheel, the only time we would pop a breaker is when the wife would plug in an appliance such as a electric griddle inside the camper, with the air or micro-wave already running. I would always pack an extension cord, and would plug the cord into the 20amp plug at the shore power pedestal. Then when the wife wanted to use the electric griddle I would plug it into the extension cord, and she would use the griddle outside under the awning. Just a thought...

Confused

I have a ST270BH. I was also wondering about the 50 amp upgrade. I do not believe I have the wiring set up so I probably don't have this upgrade.

In looking at the converter it is a wf-8955PEC says 55 amps does this mean that it is usable for the upgrade? Would additional circuit breaker(s) upgrade and new cord be all that is necessary?

Tried searching but have not really found any info and would like to know what is needed before I asked around for prices.

I can not speak on your exact model. The one in mine you can purchase the distribution panel separate from the converter fairly cheap. Then you would need the larger cable plugs and separate the circuits as needed.
I'm an industrial electrical engineer. So to me this work is fairly easy and straight forward.
With out checking my WFCO part number it might be different and I can use a distribution panel like this. https://www.google.com/search?q=wfco...08427262009396

As far as the 55 amp rating that is the max 12 volt output from the converter.

We have the 55 upgrade on our 300BH. The upgrade for our unit was for the second AC, so we also have 110 running to the front bedroom ceiling next to the vent.
