tree sap
This past weekend I was camping in a nice lot with lots of spruce trees. When I arrived home I noticed there was some sap on the front of the trailer. Anyone know what's the best way to remove the sap without damaging the finish?

Roof or cap? Above link is for removing sap from EPDM roof material. For the front cap I have sucess with Dawn dishwash soap, a small amount in warm water. Also Mr Clean Eraser for tough spots. Works great for bug removal also. Then re-wax.

They say you could also use the mineral spirits on the front and sides, but you must wash it off with soap and water immediately and recoat with fresh polymer finish or wax. On my cars and trucks I use kerosene. Wash it with soap and water then rewax it.

Isn't that an alcohol base?

Keep in mind that wd40 is also a solvent based product. Put a flame up to it and it makes a great torch for burning off wasp's nests.
Something I haven't done but did watched my nephew try to burn a house down.... No more wasps though.

It also removes tar and blacktop.
Plus it will clean the black off of the wipers on your slide out.

Good info, Lloyd. Plus it is suppose to be good for your aching joints.

Years ago I owned a hybrid camper with tent ends. We camped at Hamlin Beach, NY and our tent ends and my tonneau cover was plastered with sap. I did some research on YouTube and watch someone use hand sanitizer. I have used it and took a couple of applications, but it worked great. I'm sure it will work for you. We now own a Zinger 31SB. Hope you can do the same.
