I just bought a new Rushmore Washington model and it was supposed to have a central vac and it does not. They are willing to install one but gave me the option of a Dyson Rv portable vac.Does anyone have that and if so, how good is it?

Don't know if this helps you or not but I have a Dyson Vac at home and it's the best vacuum I've ever had. I'd prefer that to the Central Vac

Lol...we look at so different 5th wheels. We also thought there was a central vac on the Rushmore's. Anyway, I purchased a Hoover Nano vacuum at Walmart for $60. Small, light, and does a awesome job. Just wanted to share. Enjoy your new Washington. We love our Jefferson.

Don't fret over no central vac. Our Rushmore came with one and it's a joke. It's no better thana dust buster and we never use it.

I installed a dirt devil central vac in ours, who wants to lug and store a vac. The DD is noisy but works well. Amazon sells them!

Send a message via AIM to denlor
We have a Dyson at home and would highly advise this as the best made.

Yes I purchased a CV950 Dirt devil this is pretty much the standard ctrl. vac. for RV's. The vac. came with hose tool bag and power head. The install was easy, there is a 110 outlet in the trunk plugged it in and just pick a spot for the inlet (bottom step, closet etc). Hope this helps good luck.

We have a dyson DC animal at home. It is a rechargeable cordless vac. You wouldnt believe how good this thing works. Comes with a wall mount to get it out of the way. We are going to put one in the RV.

I am with slouman......we have one and it is not what it is cracked up to be. we used it once and bought a small dirt devil we keep with us. Holding the hose alone will wear you out just trying to stretch it to reach different areas.

Thanks guys We absolutely love our new Washington. We live in Florida and bought the unit in Detroit Michigan and had it shipped to us. Have had a few issues but they have been great about taking care of everything inn a timely fashion.
