Artillary Ridge campground...pet friendly
also have horse rentals and can get a guided horseback tour of the battleground.
close to down town and the museums.
The people there are very nice and will help you with tours, museums, etc.
The Northeast Crossroads rally was held there 2x.

We spent a week at Drummer Boy in Gettysburg a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it. It is a huge park, but the way it is laid out it doesn't feel that way at all. The staff was very friendly and it was close in to town and all. I read reviews on it where some folks complained about them nickel and diming you to death, but I didn't see it that way. They had two pools. One is a little fancier and they charge a fee for that, but the other one is free. We took a bus tour to Washington, DC and they picked us up and dropped us off right there in the campground, so that was pretty nice. They had a well stocked camp store, golf cart rentals. It was great. I really can't think of much negative to say about it. The roads were gravel, so maybe that is a negative if I were just looking for one.

We stayed at the KOA. Loved it. Bit hilly, but sites were nicely shaded with trees.

We are going to try gettysburg battlefield resort. It is a sister campground to our sycamore lodge. It is a membership campground that belongs to travel resorts America but if you are a coast to coast member you can stay there.
