Hello All
I am seriously considering purchasing a ST32FR as my first TT. I have 3 children and the layout seems perfect for us. I have a F-150 ecoboost super crew with max tow package. It is rated for 11,100 lbs max. This unit seems to be 7200 lbs roughly dry. Anyone see any issues with this set- up? Also if anyone has any general comments on this model or this line of TT's that would be greatly appreciated. I thank you in advance for your feedback.

Cheers!

You have a great tow vehicle but that is also a LOT of trailer. What does the yellow door sticker on the truck state for payload? Once you add the 1,100 + lbs of trailer tongue weight, family of 5 and anything into the back of the truck you may be tight on available payload.

Thanks for the reply.....truck has a payload of 1380 lbs max. I should mention I very rarely will haul the trailer with water. Around here it is not necessary for the type of camping we are planning. Thanks again for your assistance.

Cheers!

Loaded trailer weight is what matters, it's very easy for a family of 5 to add 1,000lbs worth of stuff into the trailer without water. Tongue weight is about 13% of total trailer weight so 1,100 lbs. plus the weight of the people and any other stuff you put in the truck. If all this adds up to less than 1,850 lbs you are good to go...it looks doable if you are careful with what you load in the truck.

sunset trail is a nice rig . however , do yourself a favor and ask what kind of axles and the weight capability of the axles are . we have an 09 ST . we had it for our annual inspection and they found that the rear axle was bent up near the end of the axle tube ... it is a Lippert axle . many items on the web about Lippert axles bending . if it is a Dexter , you are good to go . don't mean to rain on your parade , but you asked for any kind of info from other owners . by the way , it is just the wife and i and we never ever get close to the 7200GVW on our camper . hope this helps and good luck
