Do you mean the outside roof, or the inside ceiling? If ceiling, then it sounds like a water leak.

The large water blisters are on the inside ceiling, as well the right side wall panelling of the slide is pulling away from framing. We feel this is unacceptable with a trailer we picked up less then a month ago. We have not even camped in it once!

Sounds like a major water leak. I hope you have a good dealer!
Good luck.

At minimum I would demand this rig go back to the factory for repairs. make them take it and deliver it back to you at no cost to you. You are right to be upset about this. That said a good thorough pdi should have caught a lot of your problems. It is always harder to get repairs made after you accept ownership than during a pdi before money exchanges hands. As stated above, talk directly to crossroads at this point unless you have a dealership willing to swap this trailer out for you. Also, begin keeping a log and keeping track of all communication. Document everything including who you spoke with and when. Get them to send you things in writing (it is very hard to get ahold of them by email initially).

It is amazing that we had such few problems when I look back at the shabby PDI that we had. After reading this and other forums, I realize that we got the "rush job" by the dealer. And, now our salesman is gone (don't know where or why) and we get no communication from the dealer. I found, after the fact, that they had a winterization class that I would have attended. Thankfully, all of you were here to help out.

This is most unfortunate. I also believe you are the one who took delivery half way from a 2 1/2 hour drive without a PDI?

We wish the best for a solution for you- but this is a very good reminder as to why a thorough inspection and PDI is the most important thing you can do before signing the dotted line.

any luck?

Hopefully you are getting satisfaction from the dealer. We bought the same model and will not be picking it up until March. Makes me nervous. So far the dealer has been great I hope that continues.

Contact crossroads directly. We had water leaks in our 2011 zinger from day one. three years later and 4 times at dealer and second time going back to crossroads. still trying to get the leaks fixed. I have been fighting with crossroads to get another camper, they wont do it. we live in michigan and there is no lemon law for campers here. Keep on crossroads to have them fix it, our dealer, national Rv in belleville sucks. there was no pdi at all, andi picked it up right from there parking lot. there service department sucks, they didnt set up my weight distrabution hitch at all. just switched the brackets to the new camper and thats it. 4 times to try and fix water leak, last time was over 4 months at there shop.

I camp with a couple that had a lot of problems with their camper after they took ownership. At their insistance CR picked up their 5er from their house ,took it to the factory, addressed all the issues on their punch list, and when it was finished delivered their 5er back to their house. So my advise to you would be, contact customer service, and who ever you talk to ,stay with that person through the whole process, and stick to your guns
