Ac in bedroom

I have a Sunset trail 336bh with dual ac units. One over my bed has the knobs on the plenum. I have been looking and can not find what I am looking for maybe it isn't made yet. But I am looking for a kit to remove the knobs and either make it bluetooth wall thermostat or remote controlled something other then climbing up in the middle of the bed to change the settings. I am getting to old and to fat for this Bs. If anyone knows of a kit to replace the plenum cover or a way to add a thermo for the bedroom area I would greatly appreciate it thanks

PS>>>> Hopefully I put this in the correct category

My advice is to google the name brand of AC and call the company to see if there is a replacement kit.

Thanks for the visual, I'm going to need to search 'YouTube' for some beach volleyball to flush that out of my head......

But in answer to your question, if the controls are mechanical, ie rotary knobs and push buttons, which I suspect they might be, I doubt there's an option to move them to a remote location.

Good luck searching anyway.

Could always replace the AC unit and sell yours. I’ve seen a lot more knob control AC units on fiberglass campers. If you decide to go that option let me know and I’ll post your other one for sale on the Fiberglass camper forum that I’m still a member of from my hippy fiberglass days.

The 2nd AC Unit is generally on the GEN on a seperate 20a circuit breaker that is not shared w/ the coach, but unsure how handled when on shoreline? L2 of 50a service, maybe? Residential generally uses 24vac controls & relays, but I would suggest you investigate the NEST THERMOSTAT, because when on shoreline, it would not matter. Your local RV dealer may already have a solution/ package for you? If the Unit uses relays vs heavy switch contacts, maybe an easy, predesigned solution to add remote thermostat?

I remember when I ordered my Coleman Mach A/C unit for the bedroom I could have ordered the control unit that would have connected to the sensor and thermostat to control both. Mine came with Coleman A/C unit in the main cabin and has the Dual Zone thermostat. If I remember correctly it was about 90.00 option.

Thank you everyone. I think after this virus stuff calms down I will hit a couple rv dealerships to see if I can find a option that will work out best.

You could install a remote relay where it plugs in. They have them on ebay for about 20 bucks with two remotes. Then just leave the a/c on using the mechanical knobs and use the remotes to control it
