Adding a Fan in front Bedroom
I own a 2015 Crossroads Sunset Trail ST26RB. The front bedroom only has a roof vent, so I am adding a Maxxair power vent.
Does anyone know if this RV is pre-wired for a fan, or do I have to wire it?
How do I obtain a wiring diagram?

I would think it should be pre wired. Take the square plastic piece down from the vent and look to see if you have the wires there. Note: when you take the plastic piece down you’ll have sawdust come down on the bed probably.

I replaced the cheap power fan in the bathroom with a Fan-Tastic fan.
When I want ventilation in the bedroom or any other location in the trailer I set the Fan-Tastic in exhaust mode and open a window or vent near where I want the ventilation.
Works very well for me.

I did the same thing in my 2012 Crossroads that I had before. I agree. It will really move the air like that.

I plan to eventually replace the bathroom fan with a nicer one, but right now, I bought a Maxxair fan for the front/bedroom area. This roof vent has no fan at all, which surprises me. I need to find power, 12v, for the fan I am installing.

Is there a light next to the bedroom vent? Mine is the same way and the service manager where I bought my RV says that I can tap into the power that feeds the light. Just make sure you get the one with the remote, makes it much easier to operate.

Did you take the plastic down and look?

i found power
I did find a pair of wires near the vent opening. They go through that area, and don't terminate at that point, but they have 12 volts, and are heavy enough, so I am tapping into them.
I am happy they are NOT the lights, because the bedroom lights are on a switch at the control center, so I obviously don't want that power.

Vent wires
Hi all, I too am looking for wires in vent area and there are none so I am attempting to drill out from the side of the vent area closest to light fixture wiring. There is some kind of metal enclosure surrounding the vent in the ceiling and I was able to drill through one side of it but so far not the other, anyone been down this road?

Any wiring you find in the vent opening would be 120vac wiring for the second A/C unit not the 12vdc you would require for the MaxxAir fan.

I added a fan to my existing vent. I went the lazy route and tapped the light power supply.
Not a steady power supply, however I use it so infrequently it's not much of a hassle to turn the light on/off from the light base vs. the switch on the main control panel.

Does your camper have 50 amp or 30 amp service. If 50 amp it is probably wired for a second ac and the wires in the vent opening would be 110. If 30 amp then if you find wires there they are probably 12 volt. Be sure to check with a meter before to be sure. And as said you could tap into the light wire and just turn the light off and on with the switch on the light and control the fan from the wall switch.

The light should be hot from the breaker box to the light, then to the switch. You should not have to turn the light on to get power to the fan. This is what my RV dealer service manger told me.

The line is hot however I’m on my second Crossroad and both had a bedroom switch at the control panel. You need to leave that switch on.

The line maybe hot but the negative line would have the switch in it and the switch would have to be on to complete the circuit.

I can't imagine a 26 foot RV being wired for a 2nd AC unit, the main one is about 5 feet back from the vent opening. As I stated previously, I did find a 12 volt source a few inches from the vent. I believe it's for the main Slideout.
