I did a little investigating into my fridge yesterday, on the outside. Found that under the top grate that some of the rubber roof membrane is blocking about half the air flow. but that inch space appears about right. BUT, since I have to get in there to fix that membrane I come up with an ideal that I will also add 3 fans up top and also run them 24/7 when fridge is turned on, and add another manual switch incase I need to save power or boon-dock/something. I ordered a small push button switch that can be used outside like someone else mentioned on the forum, maybe even this thread... So where I want to add these fans is above the rubber roof and below the vent screen, creating a wind tunnel. That should be relatively simple to accomplish. But the hardest part is waiting for my fans, would love to be already doing it with the nice fall weather.
