New 30SK had to have a couple of things to make the wife happy. Added some galley rail from Lowes to the spice rack and top of cabinets. Keeps things from jumping off during travel.
I also trimmed the panel that hides the hot water heater so the bypass can be operated without removing the panel. This is something that Cruiser should have done!!!

Nice job on the rails. I cut a 4x9opening in the panel for the water heater, trimed the cut piece and mounted it over the opening with small brass hinges to make an access door. I agree that Crossroads should have thought about easy acess to the water heater bypass valves.

Mine requires quite a reach and is hard to get to. I have thought about ordering a door and 2 cabinet stiles to install a door myself.

We put industrial strength velco on the panel and a knob to grab for taking it off. Works great

Added a door to the open cubby in the kitchen slide. DW couldn't figure why Cruiser didn't put a door on it, so I did.
Lucked out and found the EXACT hardware at Lowes. It took a little cusom mixing of stains but it turned out to suit her so that is all that matters.

I added a shelf to the cabinet next to the stove. Makes that space more useful.

Pics please of the wine rack. We are planning to order one in the new year and are always looking for new ideas. Wife already has the rail on top on the to do list. She thinks that area above the oven is waste as well. A vino rack sounds great. Would like to see how it looks if possible.
Thanks
Ken

OK guys and gals another question regarding this unit as I am sure someone has done something. Wife and I were just discussing the wine rack and she asked me another question for you folks that already own this model.
Has anyone done anything with the open front 3 shelf unit under the microwave /stove counter area. Seems to be a weird thing having a bunch of space with no front on it. The other spot is the same under the kitchen sink. It is wide open as well. I know at home we put s.o.s. pads etc in there but it has a front so no one sees it. Any ideas please?
Thanks

We just put odds-n-ends in those spaces. The DW keeps cook books in the center opening under the microwave.

The open cubby that CALGARYGRINGO asks about is where I put a door. Here is a photo. The long door nearest is the one I added.

Don't know how my 07 is different form the 10, but I put 11 doors on. One on the open space as mentioned above, one on the water heater space, one by the microwave (where you put the wine rack. In that space I put switches for under cabinet lights, and a 110v plug...added a couple of extra circuits with plugs in the kitchen. Doors on the back cabinet (the one that houses the water pump). Door on the entertainment center, reinforced, stainless steel piano hinge, and mounted a flat screen TV on it and built shelves in the space where the TV was. Door on the open space under the kitchen sink. Door on the CD player space. Doors on the open areas under the clock, at the entrance. Makes the whole area seem more "finished".
I also did the rails on top of the cabinet.
From the pics, it looks like they changed the cabinet layout on the 10's.
I have pics if anyone can tell me how to insert them into this message???

To insert the picture you need to save them somewhere on the web. I use Photobucket. It is free. Save them in a smaller format, something like 320 pixels in the long direction.
Right click on the photo and click "Properties" in the box that pops up. Copy the entire URL address. This will be like "http:// XXXX".
Start your post and click the little icon in the top bar that looks like a picture of a tree, then paste the URL address in there. It should show in the post when you finish.
I hope I remembered all the steps.
