choosing an awning. Aleco, anyone?

We are replacing our awning due to the fact that someone ripped off our awning motor while the RV was parked. We are looking at Aleco due to the budget. Does anyone have experience with the brand? Have you had any problems with their manual, retractable models or would we be better off going motorized? Does anyone know if you can upgrade their manual models to a motorized model at a later date? All advice would be welcome. Thanks in advance, Pearl

Research the Solera hybrid by LCI. We put one on and love it and you can change out the crank head for a power one at a later date. It is the same thing as a power awning but you crank it.

Aleco was good for my 5th wheel. Just read the directions. Took the wife and I about 3 hrs for a 20 ft awning

Did you end up installing a manual or a power awning?

much thanks!

Glad to hear you are happy with it. Is it a hassle to put up and take down? My husband has a bit of a shoulder issue, so I may be the one doing the awn raising.
