We just received one of these for our 27BHSE. It did not come with instructions. I am looking for mounting information or instructions or pictures. How far below the bottom edge of the counter should I leave for clearance? How far down do I mount the support bracket? Do I need to add supports behind the cabinet? The dealership (Sirpilla RV) is clueless!

I am going to install it on the couch end of the counter.

We have same model...no extension. How much was it? We have contemplated adding one, too.

Does the extension have a hinge on one edge and a "spring" foot (or feet)that folds to drop extension? I helped my dad install something similar years ago, and counter extension hinge mounted to bottom of existing counter...with the foot mounted to the side of the cabinet.

Also, you will CERTAINLY have to add wood blocking inside the cabinet. I have peeked in around the drawers, and there is butt-kiss for support for a counter extension.

You may need to mount counter extension via the hinge and kind of figure out where/how folding support will mount. A suggestion would be to google countertop extensions (or RV countertop extensions) for something similar...a photo may go a long way off the web.

Side Note: Generally...the dealer is clueless except for how to take our money...they sure have that down!

Another thought...call/email Crossroads...maybe they can at least send a photo if not instructions.

I will try to take a picture of it for you. We paid $185 shipped to our door, the invoice that came with it (what Sirpilla paid) was $75.00. It took them four months to get one to match our counter top.

I tried an internet search and came up with nothing. I will try crossroads. They have not answered my previous questions either.

I cannot figure out how to put the pictures up. The table has a single leg coming down for support and the hinge is on the bottom edge of the table.

Eddy,
I'm so glad you qualified your reply with "generally" My dealer is very, very savvy, and can do almost anything I want done. I bought a rear-view camera and took it down to him and wanted it installed. When I picked up my new unit he had already run the wires and had everything ready to go, took less then a 1/2 hour to install everything inside and wire it up. He then made sure it worked perfectly before I left. I feel bad for those people who have dealer's who cannot help them in every way they want help. JMHO

Yes...there are a few good ones. Sometimes it depends on the service tech more so than the dealer. We are very happy with our purchase...but not exactly "wooed" by dealer (same as Pheonix).

Pheonix...I haven't figured out pics either....lol

Crossroads said that there we not instructions available, take it to a dealer and have it installed.

I put it in last night just like how I thought it should go. Everything seems fine. There was already support behind the cabinet wall, like the prepped it for the extension.

Thanks Guys!

Eddy, my kids love Cuttys. We will spend a couple weekends their. I will get in touch with you.

Phil
