check out my thread "cont: st reserve st30rk mods"

I made an adapter to fit my Weber Q on the mount. I liked the mount and wanted to use it. The bracket I made slips on/off so I can still fold in the arm. I read the reviews of the BBQ that came with it and gave it away without ever using it. It's pretty tough to beat the Weber Q (other than the price). They last forever and you can get parts anywhere. Generally we always plug the BBQ into a propane tree and big bottle. I've got a burner/disc-blade wok, lantern and camp-fire-in-a-can on most trips, so the tree makes life a little easier. Let me know if you want more pictures of the adapter. It was simple to make. I push the arm back to the 2nd hole in the bracket and it seems to keep the bbq far enough away to give me plenty of space. Good luck finding out what works for you.

Yep, your DIY was part of the head scratching on "why pay $300 for a hohum grill set up, when a better custom set up is equal or less money".

And most seem to support my opinion that the dealer grill isn't the best quality. Even for the same money, you get a better product if you buy independent.

Thanks for the feedback all, another project added to the list.

You can find the swing away bracket for sale used somewhere and just get the bbq you want and use the table adaptor for the braket.
