Hoping to reduce the chucking we replaced our Lippert 1621 pin-box with the Demco Glide Ride

side by side pin-box
removed the old box and inspected the welds front and back

all looked well.
propped the new box onto a sawhorse and positioned rear bolts to align then lifted forward and inserted remainder of the bolts

checked bolt size 5/8"

compared it with the chart for torque on grade 5 bolt

150 ft.lbs of torque
drilled a new hole for the umbilical and finished product

cant wait to get out and tow

Nice job. I was amazed at the difference...notably better on rougher freeways. BTW where's all your snow??? I noticed in the pics it looked like a nice day there in Arvada.

We are pretty excited to tow. The snow is almost all melted and even though the wind was blowing cold todayWe have been waiting forever to start some projects on the Cruiser and felt compelled to go to work. Its Supposed to snow about the middle of the weekWe hope to get some more work later this week on the stabilizer. We also bought new seals and wipers for the slides, The early 2009 ones were all sticky and getting worse soWe gotour local dealer to order a set for a 2012 in black They are almost exactly the samedimensions, pretty pricey but we think it will look nice.
