I finally got around to adding a second battery to my fifth wheel. The last trip we took was dry camping and the original 12v marine battery died on us, so I converted to two 6v golf cart batteries. It was hard finding a battery box that fit, but I was able to locate one from a company on the Internet. I had to cut holes in the box since I couldn't find one already vented. I cut a hole in the cover and modified a large sprinkler pipe to accept the vent tube. I then cut a hole on the bottom of the box for drainage. It took a few hours but it was worth it. We also put a mor/ryde pin box while we were upgrading stuff. Can't wait for the first trip this year!

I have added pics below.

If you have the results I did , you are really going to love that new Mor/ryde.
The two 6volts are the only way to go. Especially for anyone that is doing any amount of dry camping. Now all you have to do is slap a solar panel or two on the roof and you will be all set.
Nice looking job.

Thanks. A few friends have told me the next step is solar, maybe that will be my project for next year.

Here is the link to company:

http://www.allbatterysalesandservice...cfm/2,619.html

They were really fast to ship it and I got it within a week of ordering. It was hard finding a box that fit. The standard NOCO was way too big, this one fit nice and snug.

Or you can go to walmart & buy a plastic storage bin , fasten the lid to the floor ,cut holes for the wiring & vent in the bin...cost about $6.00 works for me
