Entry door window

Hi Guys,

Has anyone added a window into an otherwise blank entry door?

The passageway between my front bedroom and rear living area is a bit dim without the interior lights on. In this space lives the main entry door which has no window. Adding one with obscured glass would allow extra natural light in this area.

I know I can buy a replacement window and frame complete from various suppliers, I was just wondering if anyone had already done something like this and how easy was it ?

Your comments, observations and guidance is greatly appreciated.

It will let a lot of heat in along with the light. Some with same brand rv as we have have done it, don't have names. The door is only a thin piece of gelcoat & aluminum with Styrofoam sandwiched between, so it shouldn't be a tough job. Personally I'd turn on the lights.

Put the window in and if you can get one that is full length like the Evergreen brand of trailers ,even better. I am looking about switching my small door window with a long one...
