Front storage bin mods

Soon to pick up a 270BH. The front bin is huge but my only exterior storage so I need to make full use of it. I hoped to find ideas\pics on here but no luck so far.

Anyone had luck finding just the right size bins? Ways to maximize every square inch? How about a hamper pass thru from the front bedroom?

Bins keep things organized and easier to find, but they use up extra space as well. Most of them are bigger on the top than on the bottom, which results in wasted space between the bins. I guess it depends on how much stuff you have, and also how much room you have in the tow vehicle for storage.

I have bins but moving in the direction of buying bags/ sleeves made or ones that fit what you want to store. They will keep things together and less waste.

There are a variety of stackable containers available including plastic milk crates.
Some articles can be hung for easy access hoses, extension cords etc.
Organize according to frequent use. Have fun making your storage puzzle.

I'm looking forward to it! That 1 bin is bigger than all the outside storage i had in my Roo 23SS.
Anyone know if the 270BH has power in the front bin?

Thanks KingFish. Is it on the passenger or drivers side?
So far I'm going to add peg board to the side walls, buy 3 under bed storage bins to hold all my various hook ups and tools and add 16 feet of LED light strip.

I'd like to add a 120V outlet in there. Going to seach for any one who has done it now.

Sorry Burgy, I have it in storage and rarely use the light so I'm unsure. Want to say it is on the side with the door and awning.

Harley, I like that idea! Did you drill and screw the mounts to the front wall? That woudl scare me, I'd worry about a hole in the front.

Kingfisher, thats OK. I pick mine up tomorrow....will know soon.

just use the plastic clips that com with the closet shelves and use short screws. the panelling is about 1/8th ". it won't go thru the front...

That wall is not the front of the camper that he screwed into, it's a false wall that is a few inches behind the cap.

I had to slide in there this weekend. If not for the larger door on the passenger side, not sure I'd have made it. Its not huge, but if i can fit..its not small either.

Not sure how much CR's has changed over the years but I have light at each door, including the main switch and batteries, just not in the propane compartment.

I like the idea of adding an outlet up there! I never thought of that. Socoguy had a good point, organize according to use. My dad taught me take everything out in the same order, and reverse when you put everything away. Then if you have an open spot, you know something is missing. It makes setting up/taking down a lot faster when you have the same routine. (If my trailer wasn't at the dealer I would add some pictures). I bought these spring clamps and mounted a bunch of stuff to the roof of my storage: broom, squeegee, hatchet, propane tree, shovel, manual cranks, etc..Robot Check. I've never had anything fall out of these clamps yet.

Does anybody know the size of the pass through door (specifically the height) on the 270BH?

I am looking a Weber Q2200 BBQ and I’ll need 16 to store the grill in the pass through area.

Thanks in Advance

Not sure of your year but comparing photos with my ZT260BH they look the same and you have only 13 3/4” of clearance. At least that’s what mine have. My Q200 has to go in the back under bunk. I have a big back door.
