handrail

I purchased an additional fold over handrail to mount on the outside of my Zinger on the door without one but want to find out if I can simply line up like the other doors rail to hit the studs for mounting it? any help would be greatly appreciated as I am a new owner. Thanks.

If you have a stud finder, it should be fairly easy to locate where the studs are. Then go accordingly.

I wonder why they didn't have one there to begin with?

I added one to our bedroom exterior door as soon as I purchased my unit. The door is framed, so as long as you have the brackets flush up against the door frame, you should hit solid lumber. Pre-drill, but don't go too deep. My buddy had to find a decorative way to fill the holes he accidentally created in the interior...

Thank you, I was hoping it would be somewhat like a basic door frame but was not sure. Think I will measure the height of the factory installed one on our other door and match that and will be good to go.
I really appreciate your help

Take a look into the door knob plate that is screwed into the frame (where the deadbolt goes into). That should give you an idea of frame size.
