I use a magnetic knife holder which I got at Ikea. My husband installed it on the wall beside the counter. The knives stay put while we are in transit.

We purchased the knife safe from Camping World and put it on the back of our cabinet door.

Honestly, ours are in a heavy wooden knife block (the kind you usually see in a kitchen). We leave it sitting behind the stove, even when we travel, and it never moves, slides or anything.
