I wanted to try and post some pics of a few easy and quick mods I just finished.
Most have all been posted someplace else on the net but I wanted to show the pics of it done on a ST Reserve. These are all done to me 2013 ST22BH.

The first is splitting the bunk curtain into two. I have two boys who do not always (NEVER) agree. So now one can have his curtain open while the other is closed. One fight taken care of!

Total cost was around $12.00 plus labor to cut and sew the curtain.

The next mod was installing a 12 volt socket in each bunk.
I spliced power from the light sockets. The most that will be run through these will be a portable DVD player or a IPOD like device.
I removed the lights and drilled the holes near them so I could fish the wires between the two and splice. It took me about 20 minutes for each and cost $10.00 total. Now they can watch movies when they are sent to the bunks early for fighting.

The final mod to the bunk areas was to install corner shelves. My boys asked for them when they saw the shelves above the front queen. So I figured why not....It took me about 45 minutes for both as I decided to trim down the size of the corner shelves I bought at Menards.
Total cost $14.00. And my boys love them.

These were some quick and fun ones to do that did not require too many special tools or skill level.

Happy Modding.....

Great idea on the curtain! I'll have to do that one on mine.

looks nice. I have been thinking about doing some similar mods to my bunk area. We don't have a curtain and I use the top bunk as a storage area so I thought a short curtain to block it might be nice. I have also thought about a small shelf in the bunk for DD so she can put her books or her light up lady bug on it. Thanks for sharing.
