Laundry chute mod?

Anyone here tried or thought about adding a chute for their laundry going to the lower storage compartment. I have a 2016 crossroads z1 291rl and thought about adding one going through to the front storage compartment right beside the bed. Any thoughts or ideas appreciated. Thanks

I've seen in on jayco and other types of Rv's. Should be a simple mod.

On my previous 5th wheel, it was located under the vanity.

I saw one in a used Cougar we looked at a while ago and it was under the stairs. We did not buy that unit, but I thought it was a neat feature.

We have a chute in the closet up stairs. It opens to the pass thru storage area. We have never used it. I guess I have to much "stuff" down there.

You know what George Carlin said you have to do when you have TOO much stuff.

As far as the laundry chute, just like so much with these campers it depends on the floorplan and personal likes and dislikes...

Thinking about doing this myself. Should be fairly straight forward to accomplish though.
- Remove top panel
- Layout area to cut out and remove
- Build up a nice hatch and install a piano hinge and a latch
- Reinforce the bottom side if needed
- Reinstall the top panel
- Install the flip up hatch
- Add some hooks around the bottom side to hold a mesh bag

If I give it a go, I'll post up some pictures. Not high on the "to do" list at the moment, but a mod I want to do this year.

Sounds good frosty. I will do the same once I get mine done as well if I don't come up with something different before then. I never realized how important storage was particularly out side storage until after I bought. I'll have to make the best of what I've got. I appreciate everyone's input.

I hear you on the storage...this is my first TT and I initially bought all the gadgets. Half of those are sitting in a box next to the camper! I love the outside storage and have it pretty well squared away now.
