We got our LED light strip attached a few weeks back. Even works when the Awning is in.

Here is another view with the awning rolled up.

Note we also have 4 LED lights running along the frame pointing down on each side.

Looks good. Where did you purchase the lights? Closeup pictures of the mounting would be nice.

looks great how is it wired in? I have them on my boat, not a bad idea for the camper.

thanks folks

the lights are a very slim LED stripe. They were bought from Amazon 16ft long. Comes with a all weather 3M adhesive backing. All we did was clean the area very good. (with Awning open) and just got out ladders and put little by little up. We ran the power down inside the awning bracket then tapped a hole through to the basement and snaked the wire in there, then around to the Battery where I used a 12v multi function report to connect the lights.

We are going to hot springs this week, I will snap a few close ups and post them.

And the ones underneath, on the frame? Are they single lights? Pictures would be great thanks in advance.

Looks great! It provides both decoration and functional lighting. We've been looking for something similar. Would you mind sharing a link to the specific product on Amazon? There are many of them out there.

As for what I bought, these are the lights, not sure why the price difference.

http://www.amazon.com/Flexible-Light.../dp/B003DKLNE6

or

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...0R0X9JJ6WWHX6J

Before you buy, please make sure you like the color temp, they do make in a whiter light and to be honest, our friends have it, its too much, hard on the eyes.

The remote I used is listed here. I used the 4 channel b.c I have two sets of lights and I may add more lights later for playing washers or back up lights.

(It's the one on the left)

BTW this is the same company I use for all my Trailer and Truck LED replacement bulbs.

To give you an idea what we have:

Lastly, here is our old camper that we did LED's in...we used some reg and some LED to achieve this lighting. The new camper is basically the same.

**Long Reply Alert**

Went out to storage and snapped some photos.

this is awning in with LED's on

Awning out (Well as far as I can in my storage unit

close up lights on

Closer up photo, note power wires going on backside of Awning

Even closer

This is the bottom of the channel to show you that there is a gap here and that these parts come out and snap back in

Here you can see the wires about half way down the awning channel

Lights off

What they look like no on under the awning

Here is one of the LED "puck" lights on the underside pointing down. I ran 4 down each side of the camper, grounding them to the frame and fishing a power wire down each side.

They all feed in to this remote controller. This is the one I posted earlier.

The under lights were purchased here:
