Led light in outside cook center

How do you like cooking in the dark or using a flash light to find something in your outside kitchen?

I just installed a 14 inch LED light strip above the upper shelf inside the outside cook center close to the door edge. installed a switch just inside the cook center door on the right side. Removed fridge its real light and had great access to fuse panel and space to run wires. I ran power (12v) from converter fuse panel inside there are empty fuses to be used and connected the switch then light bar. It now lights up the shelf inside cook center and also your cook area and sink. Simple job easy to do. Will post pics when I get home.

msisko,

Your post is timely for me. I have a 300BH that has the the outside kitchen and the little 12 volt lamp in the ceiling of the cook area doesn't cut it.

I don't have my trailer out of storage yet, but I recently purchased 32 feet of warm white LED strip, 4 strip connectors, power supply, and dimmer.

This might be hard to explain without pictures, but I'm running the led strip on the inside of the outside wall around the circumference of the kitchen door frame. Sort of an inversed vanity light.

I tested it last summer with some old rope lighting and it looked great, but the rope lights are decorative and not bright enough.

What's nice is it lights up the entire kitchen area including the drawers, cabinets, fridge, and sink, but no lights are exposed or hitting you in the eyes when using the sink our going into the cabinets/fridge.

I'll post pix after the install sometime in April.

I want to see pics. A bit more light would be nice. Might be nice to put a light on the exterior lid that would shine on the grill!

My mod is here and we love them. The ambiance at night is awesome and way better than the bright stock light. You can make them any color you want.

Great Mod, you beat me to it. I'm going to go all the way around with a second set to light up the front of the drawers too.

I like Tim's idea of the extra light on the inside of the lid/door.Easy to tap in to existing light.....hmmm, might just do that.
