Just replaced the old incandecent tail lights with the same style and size as the originals. These new LED lights are made by Command Electronics like the old ones so the job was quick and all the holes lined up. It is amazing how much brighter and quicker LED lights are!! I went to Command Electronic's web site and although I could have purchased an upgrade kit to convert just the bulb and lens I electred to replace the entire light because on my 06 CF29CK Crossroads Cruiser I was concerned about the condition of the plastic tabs that hold on the lens. I would recommend this modification to anyone. Lane changes and sudden stops would be easier to noticeby the rude tailgating motorist that follow us down the highway.

I did this mod, it was worth it. I went through 2 sets of bulbs in one trip with the old system. Edited by: dja29RK

I believe this is the link to the site for the LED upgrade. The LEDs will also reduce the electrical load on the TV.

I just switched over to the LED taillights. I did the complete light assembly. They are a very nice light!!!
Also ordered one of their interior LEDs, item #K-900UPG. I couldn't believe the lumuns they were claiming for this light so I had to try one. Now I wish I hadn't already purchased so many. That is one heck of a light!! If anybody is thinking of switching out your lights to LEDs, I suggest you try one of these first. It's probably the closest there is to an incandescent bulb for the quality of light it puts out. It's not cheap tho.
rcflyer has the link on his post.

Just got my kit today. About 15 minutes to install. I didn't use the "Scotchlok" type connectors supplied. I used sealed crimp splices.

Cost was $42.00 if I remember correctly.

Those babies are BRIGHT!!!!

I also did mine but instead of the supplied wire clips, I used a soldering gun and heat shrink tubing. They are bright. I hope folks following me like them as much as I do.

I had the same bulb problem on the side without the plate. The water was going in the lens and hitting the hot bulb and the bulb would break. I made a plate to go over the bulb just like the one on the license plate bulb and it worked, if you don't want to upgrade, which I did.

Got the marker lights installed, won't know till tomorrow night how bright they are and will report back. Found water in one of the upper lights, so I resealed that light and the others to eliminate that issue. Will pick up some some good stuff at camping world in a few days and re-check.

Where are getting your LEDs??
I just installed one over the dinette in place of the 110v that was there. I got it from command electronics. That thing is the brightest LED I have ever seen. I went out the other night and took a picture of the table area with just that light on. NO FLASH!!
It was a good pic.

I ordered some LED lights for the ceiling lights in our 5er and we didn't care for them. They were too bright and we didn't like the color, too cool. I ordered the warmer ones because I knew we didn't like the cool blue ones but even the warmer ones were too cool and bright. Fortunately I only ordered four of them and I ended up using them in the basement where they work perfectly.
Like most things everyone has different views of things so this is just our experience, yours may vary. Before you buy LED lights for every fixture in your TT you may want to try some first.

I got the tail-light upgrade from Command electronics. For the side markers and scare lights I went to this website.
http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-b...ther_bulbs.htm

The ones I ordered were marked: WLED-A5...you have to order red and amber color for the specific marker lights. They messed my order up and mixed up an amber light for a red one, so I have to call them on Tuesday to get a replacement sent. I could not tell in the daylight that the color was not right, but it sure shows up at 10:30 at night!! The lights are nice and bright too! For the scare light, I ordered: 1156-W3X1W. I am real happy with the results of converting the outside lights over....

I agree. Crossroads should make that a standard as it is much safer.
