Looking for input/ideas
We bought a thing to hold our sewer hose from Amazon. It is big enough to accommodate the hose and fittings. Hubby attached it to the bumper of the trailer, but we are looking for a better way to attach it.
He had tried nylon ties but they fell apart due to sun damage. Does anyone have any ideas as to how to best fasten this thing to the bumper?
Here are some pictures of how it looks right now:

Are you really stuck on it needing to be on the back bumper?
If not, you could mount it underneath like I did.

I also agree with Lloyd and hide it under the trailer. Many places to connect with plumbers tape.
If you really want to leave it where it is, use the longer stainless steel "hose" clamps.
No need to worry about sun bake.

I agree with Loyd. You can purchase the aluminum bands in a small roll at any hardware store.

I like the underneath idea as well, used that on my old Roo. If you dont want to go that route then:
https://www.lowes.com/pd/Stanley-Nat...-Brace/3169359
Buy 2 that match the width of the mounting feet for your tube, 5 inches? Mount tube to brace, screw brace to bumper from the back.

Thanks for the suggestions! I showed them to Hubby and for some unknown reason he does not want to mount it underneath. The stainless steel clamps look interesting. It's just a case of where to find them.

You should be able to find them at just about any plumbing supply store.
If one isn't big enough to go around the whole thing, put 2 or 3 together.

Use a piece of threaded rod and bend in the shape of a "U" bolt to go under the bumper and through the mounting feet on the hose container.

I would say the metal hose clamp, or metal zip ties. Amazon has some metal zipties:
https://www.amazon.com/Strip-Stainle.../dp/B004C3C22K
or you can try a local hardware store or if there is a heavy machinery (Caterpillar) dealership nearby should have them also. Just make sure you check the length you need before you buy.

I have never seen those metal zip ties before. They look very interesting as well!

If you are adament about putting on top of bumper just go to hardware store and buy somr brass or stainless strapping (wont rust),comes in a roll and is about 1/2" wide and has holes every inch and make sure you bolt it together under the bumper to make it look neat.

I take it you're referring to plumbers strap or tape?
It comes in brass and zinc coated soft steel. It's not stainless as it wouldn't be flexible enough for target uses.
Hose clamps are a type of stainless and work well for that usage. Many sizes available and you can add one to the next to lengthen whatever size you need.
Either brass or steel plumbers tape would work fine if you hang it from the underbelly.

I put ours just under the skirt next to the termination. I just cut a couple of pieces of 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" angle and drilled holes to be able to bolt them to the tube and then used some tech screws to attach the angle to the outriggers.

You can also get a steel bar stock, 1/8" thick and the same width as the mounts on the tube. Cut 2 pieces the same length as the mounts and drill holes to match the holes in the mounts. Place the pieces of bar stock under the bumper and use long bolts, washers and nuts to secure it around the bumper.

1. The bumper is square (and metal), whereas the hose is round. During transit, the hose rubs against the metal sides and wears down, which means it eventually starts to leak along the sides.
2. The carrier is wide enough to accommodate the fittings as well as the hose. It is also plastic and not as damaging as metal.
Yes, we use a good quality hose (Rhino).

This is how I mounted my Supertube under the rear bumper.
I did it because all the fittings fit in the tube. Very convenient, and I didn't want to store any nasty stuff anywhere else in the trailer.

You could use a square u-bolt too. These are sold at almost any hardware store.
