Thought I would share my latest upgrade in case anyone may have interest in a free flow exhaust system that will not rattle your brain. (2006 Ram 2500 Cummins 5.9)

At 20k miles I installed a Magnaflow 5" catback exhaust system, performance intake, K&N filter system to turbo, and a superchips programmer. I wanted more power but also wanted to keep the EGT's down.
This system has worked great but the drone has been terrible. I added sound deadner throughout the cab and it made the truck quieter but did none eliminate the drone.
I have heard a lot about the Corsa muffler and drone canceling technology (sounds to good to be true). Now at almost 170k miles I could not take it anymore and ordered the Corsa muffler alone.
Summit shipped it pretty quick with no problems. I took it out of the box and noticed it was straight through design. In fact, it looked to be almost a straight pipe in it with strategically placed holes going into the muffler chamber. I could not believe it and almost did not install it (did not think it would work). Long story short, I installed it to the existing Magnaflow tailpipe. Could not believe it, no drone at all (gone)- all I can hear is the valves and the turbo! I can live with that...

Two thumbs up for Corsa

I'm very intrigued, I have an 06 3500 and have been looking to change out the stock muffler with something else, what is the model / part number for the muffler you purchased?

I guess every truck is different. I put the 4" Magnaflow turbo back system (no cat on the 2000) on mine and have never had any drone at any speed. No other mods on it except for the K&N filter in the stock airbox.

Actually I only changed the exhaust because I had some holes in the over axle pipe and this was as cheap as a stock replacement. 213K and still going strong. Edited by: rv-rick

"I guess every truck is different."

Could be; but on this one it made a huge difference. Some of my customers could always tell when I pulled up to their building before and now they can't.

Different audio characteristics between a 4" and a 5" system.
