I like it! Is there a 90 degree option so the hose can come up from the bottom?

Yes , but then I am not sure the flap will close without removing the connection.
In my case all you have to do is disconnected the quick connection and close the flap, the shutter on the connection also gives you an option to shut the water pressure from there and use it for another purpose:filling a backet ,washing a cloth and so on.

Darn good idea!!
We went overboard and installed multiple quick disconnects.
Now the filter and pressure regulator assembly are attached to a short water hose and when connected rest on top of the back bumper. (not hanging from the water port)
The entire works easily comes apart for storage.
THANK YOU!!!

I use a brass quick connect and a 1/2 plastic cap with threds and screwed the regular plastic cover to it and it fits the connection tightly, for traveling. I also put a turn off connection between the hose and the quick connect, so that when I hook up to the hose bib I turn the water on and when the water comes out , I then turn off the flow at the hose end and then connect the hose to the water inlet(no air in the water lines). When disconnecting I turn off the water at the hose bib, then turn off the water at he hose end then disconnect, then open the valve, aiming ast a tree, then open the valve to relieve the water pressure in the hose.

I tried to use an 90 deg fitting but I couldn't get it to fit because the hose inlet is tilted down and the 90 deg fitting butted up to wall of the trailer.

I used a 45 degree elbow and then the quick disconnect. Since my water inlet is on the back of the TT, the fact that it hangs out a little is OK. I am able to open and close the door, but it takes a little finesse to get by the elbow.
