Replacement television mount that locks?
We have the standard 27-ish inch Insignia television installed in our HCT-26RB trailer. When sitting on the two seat sofa, the person nearest the television can't see the screen.
The current TV mount doesn't extend so we need to replace it. It is, however, mounted inside a swivel cabinet so that the entire television can be turned to be viewed from the bedroom.
Anyone have a recommendation for an articulating wall mount that also has a locking mechanism do that the TV doesn't extend when traveling down the road? It definitely needs to be low profile so that we can still turn the cabinet for bedroom viewing.
Thanks!

I just bought Velcro at Lowes, and four picture frame brackets. I than run a strap at the top and one at the bottom of the TV

OK, that's exactly what I was thinking about doing as well, if I can't find one with a locking mechanism. I already have a large package of industrial strength velcro.

Go to more Ryde website. They sell the exact swivel mount that locks in place for travel. I installed one for my outside TV and it works great

Great suggestion! Who would have guessed the Morryde sold anything other than chassis and towing improvement gear.
Thanks!

The factory TV mount on my Cruiser locks for travel, it has a strap that hangs just below the bottom of the TV to release the lock. I would think that just about any mount for RV use would be lockable.

Larry, I would think so too but it appears that isn't the case in my unit (can't speak to the whole series of course). I even asked about it on the PDI.
Any idea how to release the television from the mount?
Just spoke with the dealership. They thought it was a lanyard too until they talked with a couple of techs. They're not sure either.
I'll look at it again early next week as we're off to the coast tomorrow to spend a nice weekend in our other RV. It's supposed to be in the mid-70s.

When I installed a TV in my bedroom I used one of these, Robot Check, to hold it in place while in motion. It's the closest thing I could find like the strap that Crossroads put in the living room.

My wife and I own a 25RB and we are faced with the same issue. You sit on the sofa, rotate the tv and someone is missing a part of the picture. This is frustrating and should be an easy fix. I will be following your adventurers.

Hi Eric. DW and I are down with the Landmark this weekend but will back at the house and the CR late Monday.
At this point, I'm still trying to get the television off the mount but can't seem to figure out the release process. I did the PUSH UP and PULL THE BOTTOM FORWARD process but no luck there. If I don't get some success soon, I'm planning to pull the entire panel on the back side of the swivel mount so that I can get access to the mounting bolts from the rear.
This should be a pretty simple process but, apparently, it isn't.

If I read your first post correctly you are looking for a television mount that extends, swivels and also locks in place while you are traveling...If you go to Camping World and type "television mount" in the search bar it will bring up a full page of mounts, one of which might fit your needs...
PS...I have one in my 5er's bedroom, works great...

CW just one place you can search...You can also try www.pplmotorhomes.com/parts or even Wallmart...
CW can be a little pricey...
