Replacing 120V outlets

I'm interested in replacing the 2 outlets located in the bedroom above the bed. We end up plugging in multiple devices that require usb type power and .
Has anyone found a good replacement outlet?

The ones I've found online are for standard outlets. Not the odd RV style with the wing on the screw to hold it in place.

Or I could add a power strip with USB.

Looking for feedback.

Not sure what you mean by "wing on the screw to hold it in place." Can you post a pic?

Now that is the box that clamps onto the inner side of the wall, right?

Those should be available in just about any electrical supply store. Then I would think you could put anything in it that fits.

Lloyd, it's not a box with ears, it's the outlet that has ears. It's a specialty item. It needs no box.

I think I'm going to stick with the stock and add the USB 120V plug gang I linked to. Cheaper anyway.

Mobile homes have used the "outlet with ears" without a box for years. If you want to use a specialty outlet, switch, dimmer, whatever, just buy a box with ears (usually plastic, typically about a dollar) for your mount, and then use whatever device you want.

Only if you get a shallow box. Normal boxes are too deep.
