In my experience when installing slide toppers, you need to tape the edges to ensure that no water damage leaks into the RV. Then you have to seal the edges of the slide. Don’t forget to remove the old gutter and make space for the new one. Then you have to put in the RV awning for slide out, followed by other hardware pieces along with the fabric.
