We installed one last year, bought it at an RV show for $89 incl tax. Easy install, works really well, just like a motion sensor light at your home driveway or sidewalk, it will turn the light on as you approach the rv at night. Save you from stumbling in the dark without leaving lights on all the time. It also has a battery charge indicator built in. You can also flip the switch twice and it will stay on. Would recommend.

I'm thinking that could be a nice convience, I hate trying to get the key in the lock in the dark. I have been trying to figure out how to wire up an external switch for the entry light just for that reason, but this looks like a better solution and easier.

delqcc - How long does the light stay on after it has been triggered by the motion sensor. (I couldn't see anything on their web site that would tell me.)

Arlyn, FYI, the sensor actually detects body heat and not motion, miscue on my first statement. As long as it detects (by infrared detectors) body heat, within its range,it will stay on

I guess as long as comes on for the bears hangin' out by the camper is all that is important.

What happens when you are riding down the road at night?

The light is still controlled by your existing porch light switch. This unit replaces your existing porch light. When you want the light to operate as a standard porch light you just turn your switch on, if you want it in the sensor mode youturn the switch on, off and then on again. Works very well, and is extremely convenient if you come back to the campsite later (after dark) than you expected.

I purchased a wireless remote for my lights. I also did not like coming back in the dark. It is 4 channels. I hooked up one for each of the scare lights, one for the porch light, and one for the interior lights. It's nice for arriving late inthe dark. I don't have to leave the truck and have the extra light for backing in.

CamperNJ: That sounds like another good option that I would like to look into. Who did you buy the wireless remote from? Do you have a brand name for it?I would appreciate any info you can provide.

The wireless remote sounds like a really nice addition. I have been looking for a wireless switch or something to turn on a light inside when we walk in at night instead of opening the cabinet door to find the switch.

What brand did you use and where did you find it?
