The 530 watts is at 24 volts. Which is charging the battery bank. With his inverter 2000/120 he has about 16 amps of AC available but at a discharge rate of roughly 160 amps from the batteries.

The tough part of designing a solar set up for a rv is how do you want to use the power? If your looking at mainly AC use running a 48 volt battery bank could be more efficient. But other than trying to run the air conditioner you usually never have that high of a continuous AC discharge rate.

I just ordered 4 flexible solar panels for my camper. 85 watts a piece at 24 volts. Going to run two pair in series, similar to the original post. This should be able to charge at about 25 amps at 12 volts.

After I get the panels I'm going to order a 30 amp mppt charge controller.
