Solutions for Hanging up wet towels
Greetings fellow Crossroaders,
I am trying to get rid of the standing towel rack we have now that we need to set up every night after everyone showers. Need to hang up 5-6 towels/cloths to air dry.
I bought a simple wall mount rack a few years ago but ended up sending it back since it didnt look all that sturdy.
The load isn't too bad with damp towels, but concerned about the load capacity of the so-called studs in the wall.
Looking at something like this...nice because its light

Any help (with pictures) on a solution is appreciated

What about something like this? They use them in Airstreams. https://homebydecor.com/?page=produc...dc9xoCvHXw_wcB

I'm not sure what the walls will hold. The one you showed looked like it would put more downward force.
I was thinking of maybe using 2 of the string ones in the shower or bath. But again, who knows, two towels could rip it out of the wall.
What about one of the good old fashion drying racks set up in the shower?

1/4 Radius Shower in our trailer unfortunately. That is what we did in the past. We have the rack but tired of moving it around and tripping over it at night. Space is a premium for us when we travel because there are usually 5-6 of us.

This is what we use on inside of our bathroom door. Just hangs over door, not worried about towel weight issues. Available at Camping world, Walmart or probably any hardware store.

Hmmmm....... well not a lot of options with a corner radius shower. There is just two of us, so not usually a problem.

Yes! You might be on to something. Hoping the top rail can support 5 towels

we use a 'tension' rod like this hung over the top of our quarter round shower... then use clip hangers like this to hang them so they drip dry into the shower basin...
there are out of the way until the next day's showers

I have an over-the-door rack similar to Mark's, but in oiled bronze.

Paracord works great....get a couple of coat hanger hooks and 550 paracord. Attach the coat hanger hooks to the wall (locate the studs) opposite of each other and attach the cord to the hooks anytime you need to air dry the towels. I did this and I have the cord cut to length with two small bowlines tied at each end. Wraps up nicely for storage in the medicine cabinet.
Just a thought...works for me and we typically have anywhere from 3 to 5 towels hanging.
