Tankless water heater wiring??

2011 Crossroad cruiser 305skp 5th wheel RV
Upgrading to a attwood tankless water heater.

Old water heater 10-gallon had 110v
Plus a 12v with a white/ orange
White/black and white/blue wires.

New tankless only has a white-black
And 2 blue for controller.

I figured out the old white/orange is 12v+
Guess i need to check the white/black
And white/blue with electric switch on to see which is ground ?
Because everything is hooked up but no power to
Controller currently..
and suggestions?
Thanks..

If I was doing it and ran into that problem, I would contact the manufacture and ask them. Or the place where you purchased it. They should be able to answer your questions.

My new Jayco has a tankless Suburban model ST60. It has no 110V. It is propane only with 12V wiring. Sadly, there is no 110V operation choice.

Jim, does that mean that all tank less water heaters for RVs only run on LP?

Can't say. Just reporting on my situation. The specs for CRcruzer's new tankless should state it's capabilities.

It would be very unusual for a tankless water heater to run on 110 in an RV.
They need a TON of power, and even the highest amp electric tankless water heater do not perform well, and are not made for an RV.
The Atwood RV tankless uses only 12 volt and LP.
The wiring should be very straightforward with two wires, 12 volt DC positive and negative.
If you are adding an electric tankless, you will not be happy.
Go with gas, or stick with a tank.
In my opinion, and a popular opinion in the RV world is tankless is NOT an upgrade.
It is a huge waste of water.
Unless you are someplace that you have an endless supply of water and a good way to dump a lot.

Tankless RV water heaters use less propane and/or electric — Like tanked RV water heaters, tankless RV water heaters run on propane gas, electricity, or both. Either way, you'll use less electricity or propane gas because instant RV water heaters only heat water as it is needed.
