I was looking into LCD TV's for our 33LF (it didn't come with one) and I discovered that there is more height and width than I expected for a TV. So I ended up buying a 32" Sony TV anda Blu-ray player.
I built a removable shelf that sits in the storage space above the TV to hold the Blu-ray player and cut an access hole to drop the HDMI cable and plugdown to the TV area. I've just planned on using the stand the TV came with instead of mounting it to the wall but I want to anchor it to the wall so no kids running by knock it to the floor (sort of a safety strap). My plan is to use the mounting bolt holes on the back of the TV to bolt on a short peice of wire rope and use a caribeener to clip it to an eye bolt on the wall.
I built a storage place under the slide out queen bed with a few peices of wood so the TV does not slide around and put some carpet under it to minimize the vibrations while traveling.
Should keep the kids busy when it's raining.
My questions are:
1) Any better ideasfor a safety strap?
2)Not sure if RV TV's are specially made to withstand traveling movement or not so will the movement of the trailer when driving (vibration)damage the non-RV TV?
As far as your question, I remove the TV for saftey and vibration reasons. It takes two seconds and I put it under the master bed storage. I never worry about the TV and didn't have to change the factory mounting arm which is sufficient.

I remove the TV and store it up front on the kids beds also. I put it once at therearof the trailer on our bed and it ended up on the floor luckily with no damage. It only takes a few minutes and it's only a 26" so fairly small but nowadays they are all pretty light. You will get many ideas on this topic, none of which are bad, but's it's definatly a personal choice that I've made because the TV is also still used in my home when not camping.
Here are a few pics of the inside of the 33LF, I tried to get a couple of pics of the loft but I can't get far enough back in that little area to get a pic that looks like anything. You can see the stairs tot he loft bed through the door in the one picture though.
One of the pics shows the DVD player shelf I built too.Edited by: jyoung2
