When I got to the campground this week end found the interior messed up, found that the vent flapper for the hood behind the mircorwave has disappeared. Whie on my walk about in Oklahoma City I met a chap I had been emailing back a forth to, he took on look at it a said they break, that afternoon he brought one made of metal, took less than ten minutes to install it

Same thing happened to me. The vent flap broke off. Did you just replace the flap, or the whole assembly?

thanks,

You unscrew the four holding the front plate in place cut the caulk lift up the front plate, it is hinged at the top I had to remove one of the remains of the plastic pins. Then insert yout new flapper. screw it in place and reseal

The pins at the top of mine broke off as well. Joyce reattached with a long strip of duct tape. The sliding holders at the bottom weren't affected and still work as designed.

Mine broke 2 years ago. Where did he get the metal one? I have not been able to find any kind of replacement. They want to sell whole unit.

Extension pin broke. Duct tape wire to flapper and all works fine - can't see tape.

All you do is remove the four screws, or in case of older models two screws, cut the caulk around the seam, open it up slightly bend it to get it in the holes and reassemble
