Have any of you re-insulated the water heater or the compartment for the water heater? Our water heater is under our clothes closet and heated clothes in the summer is not so great. Plus I am sure the water cools down too fast. We would appreciate any ideas you have to offer.

I insulated around the water heater on our HH. But for the life of me I can't recall just what I used for the job. If I were to hazard a guess, I would say a fiber glass bat, and taped it on.

Thanks, Lloyd. When we were the rally, one of the guides gave us some aluminum wrap with plastic (I think) cells that was only 1/4" thick to use. No, I think not. Like your idea much better and that is one thing we considered. Do not want anymore "hot tamale" clothes, especially when it is 90+ and humid in IN.
