I have a 2011 Zinger ZT25SB that I purchased in October.
The slide out has no awning.
I purchased an awning from Camping World and have it ready to install.
Crossroads sent me a detailed drawing showing the studs and frame location.

Does anyone have any installation "Donts" before I start installing this awning?

How about a few "Do's"?

No do's or don'ts for you, just good luck!

My DW's do's and dont's for me were "Dont" do it yourself and "do" let the dealer do it for you. Her math (usually correct):

1 me + (n)ladders + 1heavy and awkward thing + (n)power tools= (+/-)1 trip to the ER Edited by: MrMike25BH

Make sure you mark the rail that attaches to the camper with the slide IN so that you can get the pitch you desire and clear the flange of the slide while in. Also, since the studs are every 12-16" make sure you hit the mark, all the other screws are just biting the tin. Make sure the provided hardware is adequate, the screws that hit the studs are no good if all they are is 1/2" screws.

Oh - make sure you use butyl tape under any mouting surface - or my favorite, Eternabond double sided sealant tape.

Well, bought the awning from camping world and it delivered in two days. Along with the purchase is a discounted install price at a Camping World for $58.00. No way am I going to try and install the thing when I have that kind of an offer so, tomorrow it goes to Camping World in Chichester, NH. I contacted Crossroads via email and they sent me the construction drawings for both side walls to make sure the installation goes correctly with screws biting into something solid. I hope if this model can't take a slide awning due to the clearance above the slide to the roof line, they would have told me so.
