Cruiser Reps please read, recommendation
I posted the other day I was having trouble finding my water pump access panel. I called the Cruiser number and spoke to a Customer Service Rep. He went over the normal places where it could be and he was stumped too. He said he would get the answer from an Engineer in the morning and email me back. I never got the email.
One of the places we talked about was the front wall of the under storage area. I described the full felt covered board that in there. About 4 feet across and 2 to 3 feet up/down. He said there would be a smaller square with 4 screws if it was there....
Well this weekend I decided to take that off and look. Guess what, There it was! I looked at this and thought what a poor design. First, the board is pretty big and I had to wiggle it in different directions to get it out of the way because of the plumbing pipes there. But second, the 4 screws that hold it are going to make the holes bigger and bigger every time it is opened up. This is going to make it less secure. Unless I put them in different locations each time.
So here's my point. This is my third trailer. I have winterized my own trailers since the first purchase. This pump had me and the Rep stumped. Why wouldn't you put an access door, with a hinge and a latch and an identifying marker on it saying "Water Pump Access"? I bet it would cost you less than $10 to do that and it would make a whole lot of people happy! Not a big cost on a higher priced unit. After doing numerous web searches on this, I found trying to find the hidden water pump is a pretty common problem!
Just a thought.....
