Dewinterized but now it is getting cold- help

Hey all! So we Dewinterized to a degree while in NC this week. We didn't touch the fresh water tank where -I hope- there should still be antifreeze left from the fall. But now we are headed back to PA and it will get into the 20's at night. So we should add antifreeze and have it go through the pipes right? And what about the toilet? I guess it's ok if there is aqua chem, tissue break down stuff (also by Aqua chem) and some water in there? We usually leave all of this for the dealer to do but didn't think it would get so cold. We have the 4 season package but not sure how much that matters.

Thanks for being helpful!

I would flush the water lines again with anti freeze if there is any question of freezing. Empty your waste tanks and put about a half gallon of anti freeze in each tank. (Your fresh water tank should be okay.) The cost of taking the chance will far outweigh the cost of winterizing. You should really learn to do this yourself so you don't have to depend on the dealer for it. It isn't difficult at all.

If you have access to a compressor, blow the lines out with air. PA should not have a deep freeze within the month, so I don't think you need to fill with antifreeze. How To Winterize Your RV

Thanks, yeah I agree! Thanks for the help! Out waste tank only has about 10 gal of "clean" water and the Aqua chem. We had dumped before we left.

I agree with Mark & Walt...They are both members of the NorthEast Crossroads Rally as am I...You should consider attending our rally...Many of our members are long time campers and have a wealth of camping knowledge, along with being really nice people...

With that being said I will also say I have never put antifreeze in the fresh water tank..Make sure you flush and sanitize it well come camping season...

PS...calling for the temp being in the high 60's and low 70's next week here in Southeast Pa.

Make sure you limit the pressure to less then 40 lbs of pressure so you don't pop any lines.
