Do you Remove your TV's??

Getting ready to winterize and put the rig into storage. We will have a couple weeks of below zero temps most winters. I was wondering if anyone leaves the TV in the unit for the winter or do you remove it and keep it in the house where it won't be subject to the extreme cold.

Will the cold temps affect an LCD screen?

Mine has been stored in the camper under the bed for quite a few years now. There hasn't been any damage. Still worked great this last fall.

Been leaving my tv's in the rig with no issues. I do seem to remember something that you want to bring the tv up to a moderate temperature before turning them on after the winter nap....

I them leave them in the unit. Figure they sit on rail car, trailers and UPS trucks in sub zero temps.

This is a reply I received from Vizio.
Dear Vizio Customer,

After reviewing your email regards to your VIZIO TV,

If the TV is not being operated then it can be in as low as -20 Celsius.

Operating 5~35℃

Non-operating -20~50℃

I leave mine in - never had an issue.

I wouldn't fire it up if real cold, but otherwise should be fine.

Pretty conservative Vizo ratings.

Another consideration. How about LCD screen in cars? Same concept / technology.

I leave it in. The camper next to mine somehow the door was left open. Almost a foot of snow got blown in. The tv was directly exposed to the wind and snow. It was probably like this for a week until I found it. No problems with the flat screen, the wood/laminate cabinet it was in was a different story.
